I’m still getting used to this new grill, and it’s only halfway done. Check out my before and after smile pictures – what a difference! Dr. Lafoca says these “temporaries” look good – the permanent veneers are going to look 100% MORE awesome. That I can’t even IMAGINE.
Dr. Lafoca and I chat quite a bit. He calls my cell phone every now and then just to ask how I’m feeling, making sure I don’t have any discomfort. I told him he didn’t have to give me special treatment just because I’m on the radio, and he told me he’s NOT giving me special treatment. He does this for EVERYBODY! What service! Everybody gets star treatment. I told him when I walk into his office, I don’t feel like I’m in downtown Pittston next to the “Y.” I feel like I’m in Beverly Hills!
I have been transformed! Check out the before and after pictures of my profile. My jaw line was actually messed up, and I never even knew it. I just thought I had a pointy chin. Actually, my jaw would slide forward whenever I bit down. Dr. Lafoca fixed my bite at the same time he reconstructed my smile.
I knew I wanted to get my teeth fixed. I didn’t expect my pointy chin to be corrected. Or my lips to be fuller. Or the smile lines around my mouth to be less pronounced. It’s like I had a LOT MORE cosmetic surgery done than I did. My coworkers here at KRZ are telling me I look 15 years younger, which would make me 22 years old. Hey, I’ll take that! Here are some other observations my friends have shared:
I seem happier. I walk taller, more confident. I look people in the eye. My eyes seem brighter (that happens when you smile, and I’ve been doing that a lot!)
For me, this is all about shedding a self-consciousness I believe has held me back for most of my life.
