People who see me know there’s something different, but they often can’t put their finger on it. But they DO notice the difference in how I carry myself. They notice how I smile a lot more. I’ve had my permanent porcelain restorations on my front teeth for one week now, and the little bit of sensitivity I had is gone. I’m eating normally – in fact a little too normally, I’d better watch it! Q: Does it hurt?
A: Not really. Dr. Lafoca has all the latest anesthetic technology in his Pittston office, so a little pin prick injection and I didn’t feel a thing. You’re awake the whole time, too.
Q: Is it true they “file down” your teeth?
A: That sounds a lot worse than it is! Your teeth will have to be “prepped” to fit the veneers. But once the veneers are on, they become part of your teeth. They’re not going ANYWHERE. In fact, it’s hard to tell where your natural tooth ends and the porcelain crown begins. And you have to take care of them by brushing and flossing regularly.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: That depends on how much work you need done. Every case is different. Dr. LaFoca’s prices are very competitive and financing is available.
