KELLY K'S NEW GRILL, BY DR.
SANTO LAFOCA, PITTSTON
BLOG ENTRY #9
It’s almost Makeover Time!
On Friday I go in for my very last procedure in my full mouth make-over by Dr. Santo LaFoca. My teeth already look awesome. This last part is the molars in the back, which no one really sees, but Dr. LaFoca needs to lengthen them to match the length of my other teeth. My teeth are a lot longer than they used to be. The average tooth is 11 millimeters in length. When I first saw Dr.LaFoca back in October, my teeth were only 7 millimeters. Stunted growth, I guess. Told you my teeth were messed up! My porcelain veneers extend my teeth to 10 millimeters – 11 just would have been too hard for me to get used to. Check out the pictures – 10 millimeters looks
good on me.
After this final procedure, Dr. LaFoca is going to send me over to a professional salon for hair and make-up, and I’m going to do a professional photo shoot for the dental office! You may see me on a billboard soon. Definitely on this website, and on the walls of the waiting room.
So after Friday, my new smile will be complete. It all started with a dream, when I walked into Dr. LaFoca’s office at the end of August and asked what, if anything, could be done about my hillbilly teeth. The results are beyond my wildest imagination!
The work began back in October and we did it in stages. I was in “temporaries” very quickly, showing the world my new smile that I thought was just perfect. That is, until Dr. LaFoca took the temporaries off and gave me my new permanent porcelain veneers. Now I know what perfection really is!
I knew getting this smile design would change my life, and it has. I can feel it when I’m introducing myself to new people. I can feel it when I have the courage to speak up in meetings with some very powerful people in the company present. When all heads turn to look at me I no longer feel that self-consciousness I used to feel, and that helps me concentrate on what I’m saying. I’m getting braver. I even went on TV – and I’ll do it again, co-hosting the WVIA Channel 44 General Auction in April!
I’d be happy to answer any question you may have about smile design and restoration. I had an extreme case – so I have personal experience with just about every aspect of it!
